The 8th Phoenix Type-In: A Retrospective (Part 2)
I may have run on a little bit in some spots, but I've had a couple beers and I'm excited for tomorrow's type-in (2018 Typewriter Harvest) at First Draft Book Bar. Wish I had a quicker scanner, but if there's anything I've learned in the past two years of this hobby, it's that patience is virtue.

Thank you for hosting the Harvest event so well... the space was beautiful & I had a GREAT time! My first Type-In ever; I felt right at home when you greeted me & found me a spot for my typewriter to rest. I liked seeing your pins and the beauties you brought from your collection, and I enjoyed our interaction very much. Everyone was interesting & so freely sharing their knowledge... it was a revelation. I hope to see you at the Typochondriachs' event on December 8th... participating in the inaugural event of a new group seems exciting. I'm thinking way ahead after that & I think we ought to discuss it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could make it to the Holiday Type-In! I'll be heading to Chandler for The Quirky QWERTY's Chandler Sunset Library Type-In. I'd be happy to discuss further events beyond the 8th. I think more communication will help alleviate scheduling conflicts in future Type-Ins. :) I have ideas for a small Type-Out at the park before the weather gets too warm, and already have June 23rd, 2019 on the books for the next Changing Hands/First Draft Type-In for National Typewriter Day.
DeleteOoh, thanks for scanning in the leftovers from the 8th Type-In! (:
ReplyDeleteAlso, the idea of a casual gathering in the park is great - please keep us posted. Joe has been working on more informal gatherings in Albuquerque, would be nice to have some here too.
aaand, because I recall you were curious about Cafenol-C film developing:
